Jessica Carbajal
PARALEGAL
Jessica Carbajal began working with Bobby K. Newman, P.C. in late 2019. Jessica brings over ten years of family law experience to the practice. She also gained additional experience in criminal matters which contribute to her broad knowledge base.
Jessica obtained her A.A.S. and Paralegal Certification from The Center for Advance Legal Studies in 2008 and worked for several well-regarded law firms in the Harris County area prior to joining Bobby K. Newman, P.C.
Excellent multitasking skills and customer service to help families in transition is a hallmark of Jessica’s work. She is able to provide top notch support to the attorneys as well as the clients, and keeping clients informed and comfortable is always a priority.
From complex litigation cases to simple uncontested divorces, Jessica is involved from beginning to end. Jessica assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, managing the discovery process, maintaining the case calendar and deadlines, and drafting pleadings and letters. She also maintains all document production and the client case file, and is integral in preparing for mediations, hearings, and trials.
Emily Eason
PARALEGAL
Emily is a paralegal with almost ten years of experience in Family Law here in Houston, Texas. Her attention to detail and ability to analyze facts, coupled with her extensive courtroom and trial experience, has earned her the success that she enjoys as part of the Newman trial team.
Emily is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, VA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and received her Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Taylor Humphrey
Paralegal
Taylor received her associate’s degree in paralegal studies from San Jacinto Community College in 2017 prior to joining Bobby K. Newman’s team. Taylor’s paralegal education concentrated on heavily in the area of Family Law. Before and after her graduation, Taylor has been employed at firms that practice exclusively in the area of family law. She has experience in assisting attorneys and cutting costs of representation with experienced client communication, drafting of pleadings, propounding and responding to discovery, and preparing for depositions, mediations, hearings and trials.
Amber Powell
PARALEGAL
Amber Powell joined Bobby K. Newman, P.C. in January of 2017. Prior to joining our firm, Amber worked as a Paralegal alongside attorney Dawn C. Archer over six years. Amber obtained her Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2004, and has continued working in Family Law for the last 20 years. She assists in all areas of family law litigation and often actually assists the attorneys at Bobby K. Newman, P.C. during trial. Her vast experience and skill set are a significant asset to Bobby K. Newman, P.C. and its clients.
